Hand-Drawn Typeface

Montecastello is a hand-drawn typeface started in my junior year of undergradute school, and worked on progressively during free time over the course of the next few years. Born form my time spent studying painting abroad in Italy, the designs are based on traditional elements of Illuminated Manuscripts interpreted and re-worked to create totally new forms.
